Our Beers: The Usual Suspects

Here at Trouble Brewing we currently brew several beers year round. Deception Golden Ale, Dark Arts Porter, Sabotage India Pale Ale, Fuzzy Logic Wheat Beer and Graffiti Pale Ale. All are currently available on draft or bottled, check out where you can find them in the Where? section.


Style: India Pale Lager

Strength: 4.9% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: This beer combines the clean, refreshing drinkability of a pale European lager with the unmistakable flavour of Australian and American hops.

Brewed with noble Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops from Germany for an authentic crisp Pilsner bitterness and finished with Summer and Mosaic hops which provide the juicy tropical fruit flavour more commonly found in an American IPA.

Grain: Pale Ale, Wheat & Cara-pils

Style: Pale Ale

Strength: 5.01% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: Ambush Pale Ale pours a hazy light straw colour with a soft pillowy white head, aromas of pineapple, mango and candied lemon come bursting out of the glass. Taste is smooth, fresh and juicy with same flavours carrying through along with subtle hints of honeydew melon and tangerine. A combination of low carbonation and high quantity of oats give the beer a silky mouthfeel, like sipping on a soft fluffy cloud.

Grain: Irish Pale Malt, Oats, Carapils, Crystal

Hops: Mosaic, El Dorado, Citra

First Brewed: December 2016

Graffiti Pale Ale

Style: Session Pale Ale

Strength: 3.6% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: This session pale ale packs a flavourful punch beyond it’s modest ABV. High proportions of Munich and crystal malts make for a complex flavour with notes of biscuit and hints of caramel. The beer is then heavily hopped with Citra and Amarillo with light fruity aromas and a refreshing bitterness to balance the sweet malts.

Deception Golden Ale

Style: Easy drinking golden ale

Strength: 4.3% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: A smooth and refreshing, full-bodied ale with a distinct hop bitterness from the traditional English and modern American hops. Subtle fruit flavours and a crisp, lingering finish.

Grain: Pale Ale, Munich & Caramalt

Hops: Northdown, Challenger & Cascade

First Brewed: March 2010

Dark Arts Porter

Style: Rich & Dark Traditional Porter

Strength: 4.4% a.b.v.

Tasting notes: Bursting with coffee, chocolate and caramel flavours as a result of the complex malt profile. The hops complement the malt flavours for a beer that is smooth and well-balanced.

Grain: Pale Ale, Chocolate, Crystal, Black Patent, Caramalt & Flaked Barley

Hops: Northdown, Challenger & Cascade

First Brewed: November 2010

Sabotage India Pale Ale

Style: Strong & Hoppy IPA

Strength: 5.5% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: Brewed using five varieties of hops from around the globe. This IPA has an assertive hoppy bite, of both citrus and spice and a strong, full body.

Grain: Pale Ale, Crystal & Wheat Malt.

Hops: Magnum, Chinook, Willamette, Columbus & Cascade

First Brewed: January 2013

Vietnow IPA

Style: Unfiltered IPA

Strength: 5.5% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: Brewed exclusively for P.Mac’s, Cassidy’s and Blackbird pubs, this extremely hoppy IPA uses generous doses of Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic. The aroma dominates with intense floral and citrus against a relatively simple malt profile with just some crystal rye malt to help enhance the spicy character of the hops.

First Brewed: June 2014

Panti’s Pale Ale

Style: Pale Ale

Strength: 4.5% a.b.v.

Tasting Notes: Brewed exclusively for the Pantibar, this beer is a malty pale ale with light toffee and caramel flavours. A modest bitterness ensures the beer is perfectly balanced and easy-drinking. A small addition of Citra hops provides a subtle fruity dimension.
